The California Department of Public Health is looking for focus group participants to better understand how informal community leaders think about community health and climate change as a public health issue, with support from the Los Angeles Department of Public Health. Results of these focus groups will be used to develop messages and communications strategies on climate change as a public health issue that can be used to educate, inform and involve diverse communities from around the state about this critical issue. The focus groups – one in English and one in Spanish – will be held May 20 and will last about 90 minutes. Participants will receive a $40 gift card for their time. If you are a community leader or want to improve the health of your community, please call toll free 855.729.5050 or email climatechange@cdph.ca.gov to see if you can participate. Click here for the flyer in English; and here, for the Spanish version.
