Tahoe Tallac Little League: Opening Day & Art Guerrero Park Groundbreaking & Sign Unveling Ceremony

posted Feb 25, 2014, 9:11 AM by Alberto Mercado

Tahoe Tallac Little League’s (TTLL) opening day ceremony and parade will be held this year on Saturday, March 22.  As an organization of parent volunteers interested in keeping kids active, safe, and healthy, the TTLL would like to invite BHC community partners to join us in hosting a Community Resource Fair as part of these events.  This is a unique opportunity to provide resources and information directly to an expected 200-300 children and families residing in the BHC target area.

Participating organizations should bring their own table, chairs, and canopy (if desired).  In addition to information and resources, community booths are encouraged to provide games, challenges, or raffles to attract and engage the youth and families attending.  The Community Resource Fair will be from 9:00 am-12:00 pm, with set-up from  8:30-9:00 am. Organizations are welcome to stay longer, if they like, as ball games will be played through the afternoon.  We are particularly interested in groups that can provide activities, resources, or giveaways related to healthy food preparation, physical fitness, health, education, and safety. Overall, we welcome any organization that serves the neighborhoods and schools of TTLL’s participating children and families.

Parking is limited, so you might consider dropping off your materials and equipment, finding a parking spot, then returning for set-up.  If your organization would like to participate, please confirm as soon as possible, but no later than March 18.  Please provide your organization’s name, contact person, and an email and phone number where the contact can be reached.
