On Saturday, May 18th, from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.,
the Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services
will host a career and job development fair to offer career resources and
expose individuals to local businesses with entry level positions. SFBFS’ Adult
Education Program offers free classes including computer classes, GED
preparation and English as a second language. The career and resource fair is
designed to connect these students, along with anyone in the community, with
resources to improve their chances of securing employment. Volunteers will lead
workshops on resume building, interviewing tips and landing a state job. 15+
career development agencies along with local businesses will be on hand to
share information and interview potential employees. The career and resource
fair will take place at Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services
