Is looking to hire for the following positions: Program and Fund Development Manager: Take the lead in developing and implementing a strategy to increase unrestricted funds through individual and corporate contributions and other non-program-grant funding strategies (including reaching out to, and building relationships with, potential new and existing/past donors.Assist with the development and implementation of resource development annual plans, in order to sustain and increase annual charitable giving to the organization and its programs. Other duties may be assigned. Reporting to the Executive Director.
Galt Farmers' Market EBT Associate: Ensure compliance with Federal guidelines for accepting CalFresh. Staff CalFresh scrip distribution table at Galt farmers' markets each week. Promote program to farmer vendors at markets. Inform customers about CalFresh eligibility and application guidelines. As position grows, there may be opportunities to expand into additional program work, such as assisting with community outreach or attending community events. provides administrative, logistical, and programmatic support for the Sacramento
Building Healthy Communities’ (BHC) Hub office, Work Groups, and Community
events. This position reports to the Sacramento BHC Director and works in very
close collaboration with all other team members. This is a part time position,
requiring flexible hours as some meeting and activities occur outside of normal
office hours, on weekends, and in various location. This
position requires a detail oriented and highly organized skills set, coupled
with the ability to initiate and follow through on projects. Additionally, the
ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously with a keen awareness of

Sacramento BHC 4th Annual Celebration...
Sacramento BHC wants to invite you to Join us for our 4th Annual Sacramento Building Healthy Celebration. Come join us at Rainbow Park and the 41st Avenue Community Center located at Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. and 41st Avenue This event is open to the whole community. We will have FREE Food, raffle prizes, games for the kids, arts and crafts and music. We will also be joined by Ubuntu Green as they will be presenting the Building Healthy Communities Charrette. A Charrette is a multi-day public planning process that collects a lot of public input in a short amount of time. A team of designers and experts generate plans in real time based on input received from the community. Since 2009, Sacramento County has been making drastic cuts to county services and safety-net. Now, we will finally have access to funds that could to help revitalize these vital programs. On Thursday, May 22nd communities from across Sacramento will come together and ask candidates for county supervisor to prioritize health, social services, and housing. We will ask them to make commitments on our priorities such as:
Health and Social Services for Undocumented Immigrants Mixed Use and Transitional Housing Mental Health Health Service Navigation

Boys & Men of Color Sacramento Present: Becoming Men of Change 3rd Annual BMoC Summit
Becoming Men of Change “A people without the knowledge of their past history, origin and culture is like a tree without roots.” -Marcus Garvey 3rd Annual BMoC Summit- June 26th, 2014 Sacramento State University Ballroom, 8am-5pm
A FREE full day event focused on galvanizing community power and inspiring youth action! The purpose of the summit is to create system change by mobilizing young people and inspire dialogue between youth activists and local leaders regarding the development of a community action plan to improve health, safety and educational outcomes for Boys and Men of Color in the Sacramento area. At the end of the Summit participants will be encouraged to participate in in goi8ng BMoC activities and events. If you want to participate as a Youth Participants; Volunteer; Youth Mentor or a run a workshop you can submit an application attached below.

Sacramento Enterntaiment & Sports Complex: Priority Apprenticeship Program
The Sacramento Kings have launched a new program to create
career opportunities for low-income and disadvantaged individuals in the construction of the new downtown entertainment and sports complex (ESC). Through the program, the Kings and our partners will recruit, train and deploy at least 70 “Priority Apprentices” to help build the
ESC. To qualify for the program, an
individual must meet the criteria as either a “Priority Worker” or live in a
“Priority Zip Code”:
