A series of community meetings in Boyle Heights, Lincoln Heights, El Sereno, and Chinatown in 2012 resulted in valuable input by local residents, community leaders, local businesses, and organizations.  This input was factored into the development of several Master Plan alternatives for the use of 90+ acres of county-owned land surrounding the historic General Hospital.  These “Land Use Options” will be presented at the January 31, 2013 meeting followed by an interactive opportunity for the community to express their opinions and ideas about the various options.  Information will be displayed on large boards with project team members available to answer questions and listen to the public’s comments.

Your input is critical.  This important project will guide the redevelopment of the Medical Center’s campus and will influence the manner in which health care services and related community programs are improved and delivered.  A final community workshop will be held in Spring, 2013 to present the final proposed Master Plan, which will be a compilation of the most desirable features of each option as reviewed and approved by the County.
