Del Norte and Adjacent Tribal Lands held a youth media slam in 2013. The competition was for ages 10-18 in the Del Norte region. Youth were asked to submit films, 1-3 minutes in length. Films were defined as one to three minute videos, containing original audio and visuals (movies, slideshows, video essays, animations, etc.). Winners and select films were showcased at a film festival/award ceremony where the community got a chance to see what their youth have created.
