Public Meeting- Help Make Smith River Roads Safe

Smith River Safety Corridor Project

When: Wednesday, January 16, 2013 @ 6:00-7:30 p.m.

Where: Howonquet Hall Community Center, 101 Indian Court, Smith River, CA 95567.

The purpose of this meeting is to provide the Community an opportunity to give input and review the preliminary plans to improve the safety of U.S. Hwy 101.  The project area is from Rowdy Creek to the intersection of North and South Indian Roads.  This project will be designed to improve safety for vehicles, pedestrians and bicyclists by colorizing shoulders, installing lighting at key intersections and building gateway monuments and distinctive signs to the entrance of Smith River Rancheria and the community of Smith River.

 Community input is important, please plan to attend.
