RSVP today!

Help every child in our community learn the reading skills to help them succeed in life! The Del Norte Unified School District, School Systems Implementation Team and Building Healthy Communities invite you to participate in a Literacy Symposium from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 7, at the Elk Valley Rancheria Community Center, 2332 Howland Hill Road, Crescent City. Dinner and childcare will be provided. Seats are limited, RSVP today at bit.ly/literacydelnorte or by calling 707-465-1238.

Join business leaders, educators, childcare providers and parents working together to change the narrative for children growing up in Del Norte & Adjacent Tribal Lands!

Consider the statistics: According to recent data, 66% of children entering kindergarten in Del Norte don’t have the skills they need to succeed, and by third grade, 50% can not read at grade level.

What can we as a community do to reverse this trend and make literacy a priority? Join the movement for college and career readiness in Del Norte & Adjacent Tribal Lands:
