2014 Youth and Young Adult Academy - POSITIONS OPEN

Youth & Young Adult employees will be given the opportunity to be involved in Building Healthy Communities and gain invaluable skills and relationships in Del Norte County and the Adjacent Tribal Lands Workforce.

JOB DUTIES: 
Under general supervision, youth employees will be expected to work up to 20 hours per week from June 30th through August 22nd.  Youth are to act as an ambassador and representative for California Center for Rural Policy (CCRP).
  • All participants will participate in:
    • Weekly training on life and job readiness skills 
    • Community projects/organizing 
    • Career development 
    • Healthy living 
    • Social connections 
    • Research and data analysis
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Applicants must be a community member of Del Norte Country or the Adjacent Tribal Lands
  • Be between the ages of 14 & 24
  • Ability to listen and talk with respect
  • TWO forms of identification:
    • ID Card or Drivers' License
    • Social Security Card, Original Birth Certificate or Tribal Identification
