Background
Robert K. Ross, M.D., President and CEO of The California
Endowment, formed a President’s Youth Council as a platform for building on and
increasing youth leadership opportunities with in The California Endowment
efforts.
It is important to officially recognize the voice, creativity,
and passion of young people who share a vision of a healthier and more
opportunity-laden California. In capturing the vision for youth empowerment,
Robert K. Ross, M.D., President and CEO of The California Endowment, formed a
President’s Youth Council, as a platform for building on and increasing youth
leadership opportunities with in The California Endowment efforts. These
efforts support and strengthen youth engagement youth leadership youth advocacy
and youth/adult partnerships.
Purpose
The PYC is a committee that provides guidance and feedback about
youth leadership efforts and youth engagement to the President of The
California Endowment.
The council will advise and share with the President their input
on the Building Healthy Communities Initiative, and other initiatives as well.
PYC members will be able to further their skills and development as well as
